Filling wall space…
This part of decorating can be tricky,
there are plenty of options available, but whatever you choose and
why, whether its something very personal, telling your life story or
just chosen because it looks good and goes with the décor, it has to
be something you love looking at day in and day out.
With so many types of wall art, if you
are having a hard time finding something its not for lack of choice.
Starting with photography, it can be
your own masterpieces or professional prints, a mix of both made into
a gallery or just the two pieces standing alone. A collection of
different frames or all in the same frames and mats, the positioning
of them is quite important. Make sure you take into consideration the
size of the wall you are putting them on and keep into proportion.
You can find layout templates of galleries and frame clusters on the
internet to help you out with this.
Then we have paintings, there are so
many paintings available in every shape, size and colour you might
need to bring one rooms décor altogether.
Contemporary paintings, abstracts, city
lines, classic reproductions the list is endless.
Metal wall art is a modern alternative
choice for filling your walls, they can look really effective against
a plain wall, many being 3 dimensional they almost jump out from the
wall at you, they also work really well on exterior walls if you need
something for the terrace.
Other than wall art itself, clocks and
mirrors make great decorative pieces. There are many oversized clocks
and mirrors available nowadays and can make real statement pieces,
and of course have a use at the same time!
